About Me

Hi, I am Mehmet Yildirim, a software engineer based in Istanbul, Turkey. I build things that connect data, intelligence, and infrastructure. Mostly Go, C#, and Python running on Kubernetes, AWS, and everything cloud-native.

Experience

Software Engineer at Netcad (October 2023 - Present)

  • Operated containerized services on Kubernetes, enhancing service reliability and deployment speed through CI/CD practices
  • Designed high-throughput REST/gRPC APIs and backend components; optimized p95 latency via profiling, caching, and connection pooling
  • Implemented observability practices, including logs, metrics, and traces, to ensure production readiness and effective alerting

Software Engineer at Kentbis (June 2022 - September 2023)

  • Developed robust backend components and RESTful APIs, prioritizing correctness and low latency
  • Enhanced data handling and reliability by streamlining interfaces and fortifying error paths

Education

Master of Science in Computer Science - Gazi University (2023 - 2025)
Bachelor of Engineering in Geomatics Engineering - Erciyes University (2017 - 2021)
